Should you use It's FRI™ or Yes SIR™ or Both
Which one should You use? -
You can use either It's FRI or Yes Sir on your Website or you can use both together. It really depends on your philosophy.

To use It's FRI on your website - you would add an Availability link to your website. When Guests click on the link - your room availability would be displayed in 3 week increments - day-by-day.

You can also opt to show your availability a) on a room-by-room basis; b) by room type (usually by price or features - suites vs. rooms); or c) not room-specific (you have something available or you do not). Some Innkeepers prefer not to show their availability information to anyone who wants to view it. They should use Yes SIR by itself.

To use Yes Sir - you would add a link to your website that would take Guests to an e-mail form (that we will create for you). The form looks like it is part of your site. - basically Yes Sir is an e-mail based approach. Guests complete the e-mail form and request availability for specific dates - the system only returns information about your room availability for the requested dates. The system provides an immediate answer to the e-mail request both on-line and also sends an e-mail response back to the Guest. The Innkeeper also gets a confirmation e-mail telling them how the system responded and forwards the Guest contact information to the Innkeeper.

Some additional features - to keep in mind

  • When they use Yes Sir Guests are required to provide an e-mail address before they can view your availability.
  • Yes Sir provides additional flexibility in customizing what information is displayed about your availability information as well as what the response is.
  • If they are full or don't have any availability some Innkeepers still prefer to talk to the Guests because it gives them the opportunity to suggest alternative dates to the Guest. Yes Sir can provides some additional flexibility in that there is an option available to have the Yes Sir system provide a neutral response - e.g. The system does not tell people that your don't have rooms available if your are fully booked for the dates that the Guest requested information about. You can elect to have the system respond with a neutral message - "Thanks for your interest - the Innkeepers will get back to you shortly"
